Media Read the question, then read it again before you attempt to answer it.

Take a highlighter with you and highlight key words in the question.

Refer back to the question to make sure you spell keywords/concepts correctly

Spend most time on the questions which will get you the most marks


How to prepare for the GCSE Media Exam


24th May 2016

1.  Plan your narrative, characters, and settings for your own film

2.  Prepare your pitch

3.  Explain how your pitch links to the brief. Why will your film be successful?

4.  Prepare your online marketing of your film. Prepare 3 online ideas. Draw the designs for the 3 ideas. Also explain in writing how they will work to promote your film.

5.  Prepare your traditional promotional materials e.g. a storyboard for a trailer and a poster campaign.


6.  Complete the research tasks on the worksheets to explore existing science fiction films.
